USA Today offers their well-known (and relatively easy) daily crossword puzzle via a sleek online solver (requires Flash). “Regular” and “Master” modes are available depending on your preference. “Regular” mode will show you incorrect letters in a different color. (Master, obviously, will not).

What has happened to my favorite puzzle site? Neither the crossword nor the jigsaw will update. The out-of-date versions are the only ones that will download.
I downloaded the Flash Player and it STILL will NOT let me access the puzzle!

What’s happened to the puzzle site? Can’t access it anymore. Love printing the puzzle and doing them long hand.
For people trying to use the usatoday crossword puzzle, there are actually two versions of it. The “visit this site” link, above, currently displays using adobe’s flash. There is another implementation of the same puzzle, which you can find about halfway down the life page which is more suitable for people using an iPad. The reasons for this split have to do with standardization. (That’s the nice thing about standards: there are so many to choose from…)
Is anybody upstairs at USA Today listening to us? No one is happy with the new puzzle format. Please, please put it back the way it was. We know best ’cause we’re the ones that download and work the puzzles. Another time or two of disappointment and I won’t be coming back.
I already have adobe flash drive and the site is telling me I need it!

Please PLEASE, bring back your regular site with all the past crosswords on it. I was looking forward to way back to 2009. I knew I had a few to go before that. I am often awake during the night, can’t sleep, and I used to play puzzle after puzzle. I will miss that terribly unless you please make the crosswords available again. So many of use want them back!!
Even when we pull up the site, the screen with the blue squares in it with numerous puzzles and you click on the “play” on Crosswords, it doesn’t work. We tried it over and over! What is the matter with your site??

The new format for the crossword and other puzzles seems like USA Today too a few giant steps backwards. On Sept. 16 and 17 I was unable to access the puzzles at all. The rest of the week the puzzles came up, but much more slowly than they used to. Now, today I’m right back to not being able to access the crossword, quick cross or word roundup. If you are going to make these puzzles available only to paid subscribers please make this clear on the puzzle site. Your old format was 100 times better than this new one!

The new flash is not installing properly and the USA crosswords, therefore, will not work on the iMac.

I’ve enjoined doing these crosswords for about 6 month and have had no problem whatsoever with downloading.
Some of them are harder than others, but the majority are relatively easy.
I am unable to download the daily puzzle on my Mac. Please make your great daily puzzles available to Mac. users.
Just click it and it will turn into a normal one!

Got an advertisement on first, but then said site was unable to be accessed.
What has happened to the crossword puzzle? It used to be quite challenging, but now it has become quite “sophomoric.” I enjoyed the thematic format/title “theme” because it made me THINK! Please bring back the old style puzzle that you have been running for YEARS! This puzzle used to be a superb test to make sure that I still had all of my “marbles.” I am thinking about cancelling my subscription to USA Today.
I’d like to ad my complaints about the new crossword puzzle format. The ads you run quite often are longer than it takes to solve the puzzle and most of the time stop and start several times before finishing. Also so many of they are on items I have no interest in. For one, I don’t have a cat so I’m not a cat food prospect. It would help if you could have the “Skip Ad” on all of them. Also I did like being able to get the old puzzles in case I’m out of town. I don’t have any trouble getting the puzzles themselves–they are the same. But the old format was much much better. How about bringing it back?

You have an error in today’s puzzle at the intersection of 41 down and 43 across. Should be yiddish and primping but you have it as ysddish and primpsng. How did you manage to substitute and s for an i?

Not only that, I went back to settings to “update” my app, and now all I get is your Welcome page. Nothing but that colorful Welcome page..!

This is a lousy way to get in to do the crossword puzzles. Better you go back to the old way; which was true and much easier than running all over just to get the puzzles, and answers and letters. John
